ABOUTSiobhán Fergus Evans (she / they) is a multi award-winning writer and interdisciplinary artist who deftly weaves poetry, theatre, and installation into tapestries saturated with lived experience and half-imagined fantastical landscapes.
Her work blurs the lines between autobiography and imagination to create modern folk-tales about displacement, belonging, and the uncertain territory of what might have been. Previous work includes (among other things): a digital puzzle made of light and colour, a storytelling performance designed to take place in forgotten spaces, a song collecting project about the songs our mothers sang us to sleep with, a room to say goodbye in, and a forest created from over a thousand donated sympathy cards. Siobhán's work has been shown at venues across the UK including the Southbank Centre, Tate Modern, Oxford Playhouse, and the Lowry and has been featured in publications like the Washington Post, the Guardian, and Time Out. She was previously Artist-In-Residence for Contact in Manchester and Associate Artist for The Albany in London. |
