she sang me to sleep with it

Originally conceived at CAMPSITE with support from the Jerwood Charitable Foundation
Available for touring

We all remember at least one song from our childhood — a lullaby our mother sang us, the theme song from our favourite TV show, the song we sang on road trips, the pop song our older sister taught us...

This audio installation was created by asking strangers to teach Siobhán a song from their childhood over a cup of tea. Using her gift for finding a story she teases out long forgotten memories of music; where it was heard, who was listening and what that piece of music meant, and means, to them. Part participatory art project, part installation, part song collection, she sang me to sleep with it is a moving tribute to the power of music to connect us to memories long forgotten.
